Hey! I feel so bad for some reason I thought I replied but I don't think I did I'm sorry. But I use a canon rebel T1i and I seriously love it. I have never taken classes or anything on photography or photoshop I just google or youtube everything. This camera is so easy to use I think, and learn all the gadgets and gizmos to it. I have never used a nikon before so I can' t really compare but I love how easy the canon is to use. I do use photoshop just to enhance the pictures and sometimes make them brighter if the lightening wasn't right. I use photoshop CS3. Let me know if I can help you with anything else. Lovin the pictures of the family!!
