AKA: Purple Sand Beach.
Saturday was the first day in possibly weeks, that Luke has been home, it hasn't been freezing and rainy and dreary and we've not had to-dos.
YIPPEEEEEE!
So, we headed down to Big Sur and checked out the famous violet sands that come from manganese garnet particles...
hmmm, sounds like some fancyshmancy stone...
maybe I could find one and use it for my missing ring. (sigh)

And the sand in your pictures looks so much more purple than the sand in mine! Lucky!
Wish we could've gone together to enjoy the beautiful purple sand...and do some gold panning.

Incredible!! How did we miss that stop? A few more miles south at the Julia Pfeiffer State Park is where that incredible waterfall onto the beach is. Thanks again for letting us come play with you! I had a great time and the kids are still asking about Afton and Porter.
