Birkenkopf...

Where Stuttgart's rubble from WWII was placed. And now it stands as a mountainish hill. Grass and trees cover the entire thing until you get to the top.
And here it is:

I DON'T GET how I am always captured imagining myself floating weightless with little seahorses...how does that happen?!

It was sobering trying to imagine the history of each piece and where and how it was destroyed.
I can only imagine what the WWII /Holocaust sites will be like!

So I just played "catch-up" on your blog...WOW! Such amazing places and so beautiful! What a life-it is amazing! I miss the Cricchios!! It was good to see that picture and made me miss MO terribly! Your family is beautiful!

Heartbreaking that such lovely architecture had to be destroyed.

I am commandment-breaking jealous!! Oh my goodness (that's for Porter) I wish I were there!! You should definitely save the Holocaust sites for when we come out there because I absolutely have to do that. These pictures are amazing!

We haven't gone there yet! That looks amazing. Your children's faces are such a stark contrast to their surroundings.
